FULL CIRCLE

Carol Anderson of CMA Media Promotions has always been passionate about music. As a young girl she listened to music by the hour, teaching herself to play piano. Infectious, she brought music to the Anderson household, even teaching her younger sister Joan to play piano also.

In her latter teens Carol and her homies formed the first Cheap Trick fan club. As water carriers and friends of Cheap Trick's band members, her posse showed their support in attending all the bands local Chicago-land/Rockford shows.

In the early eighties Carol converted to Christianity leaving her music influences to the past in order to embark on her new faith as well as other career interests.

During that period Carol's sister Joan Anderson formed a band with local Christian musicians. That group ,"Triloje'" went on to get signed by California's Light Records. Through Joan's association with Steve Camp, Carol was asked to work for Steve's manager in Nashville, TN.

So Carol left Chicago and moved to Nashville in order to venture on a new career. A newbie to the still burgeoning contemporary Christian music industry of the mid eighties, Carol was learning it's trade practices firsthand; and specifically music/tour promotion.

After working for Camp's manager; Carol went on to further her career in Nashville being picked up by Petrafied Productions, the management company for the band Petra. Her responsibilities included assembling artist's tour books, plus scheduling and managing their interviews. As Petra's popularity boomed, Carol developed a stellar reputation as one of the industry's first "Tour Publicists".

In 1986 Carol returned to Chicago and CMA Media Promotions was officially launched. She would leave the professional music industry of Nashville. But it was her Nashville experience and training, coupled with the help of local prominent Chicago music promoter Paul Emery; that her business began to thrive and she soon became the Midwest arm of a still growing industry.

Carol has worked with most of the top artists in the industry, which include: Amy Grant,Michael W.
